Almost everyone will enjoy this truly delightful rafting experience, which is particularly ideal for those testing themselves on whitewater for the very first time. This section of Reventazon River begins near a picturesque train station that was once a stop along Costa Rica’s famous Jungle Train. The journey continues along this classic trajectory, offering beautiful jungle scenery with wide-open spaces and the magnificent Turrialba Volcano as a backdrop. The emotion of numerous rapids completes this exceptional white-water experience on the mighty Reventazon River.
Guests are picked up from their San Jose; hotel by a comfortable minibus for the journey to the river put in. This trip offers the additional highlight of traveling through the emerald forests of Braulio Carrillo National Park. Spectacular views of mist-shrouded virgin rain forest stretch out as far as the eye can see as the bus winds through this protected area’s mountains and valleys. Down in the tropical lowlands, the tour stops for a traditional Costa Rican breakfast before continuing on to the river put in. After some brief safety instructions at the river, the rafts are launched and this exciting white-water journey begins. A delicious lunch of sandwiches, fruits and dessert is served on the banks of the river during the trip. At the river take out, guests can change into dry clothes in our private restroom facilities before boarding the comfortable minibus for the return drive to San Jose.
